Its work is to do community works, fairs and to help the neighbors from the Morrope village.

The community members  who are part of the mining , work in the exploitation of gypsum and salt.

According to the resolution, the community was founded on March 5, 1951.

The community has 8 directive members:

- President:  Humberto Morales Llauce.

- VP: Wilmer Santa Maria Santisteban.

- Recording Secretary: Paul Valdera.

- Treasurer

- Secretary of agricultural matters

- Secretary of Mining Affairs

- Fiscal and vocal

It has a technical team, public relations, legal, meeting records (auditorium.)

Mines are related to the community because they are part of the community, so the salt mines as gypsum because it owns those areas in the north has deserts, croplands and southern access to the sea and has access to the beach "San Pedro"

Those Are blocks of salt extracted from the salt mine which is located an hour from the local "San Pedro de Morrope", which can be crumbled and processed.We also found gypsum blocks, also, agricultural gypsum that is similar to urea because it is granulated and serves to fix in crop areas, the mines are located at km 48 on the Cañanmak mines and caboverde, which have access to the public by facilitating mobility roundtrip with previous coordination with the president of the community.

The community works with the support of the municipality or is it independent?

It works with the support of the municipality and other state identities, today the municipality is governed by the engineer Gustavo  Casusol  who has the same policy of the community  and it is also working with.

Which are the main activities does the community celebrate?

We have 29^th June; we celebrate the anniversary of the rural community and also we celebrate the feast of the Holy Cross of Pañala that is the community’s patron saint. And the feast of San Pedro that is celebrated the 29^th too, and it is the feast of all fishers. Those are the most representatives.

What year this community was founded?

We have a resolution where indicates when the community was founded and the date was the 5^th march 1951, but some people claim the community existed years before but this resolution was the point of departure to what we know now as the Rural Community San Pedro of Morrope.
